Quizlet is a great website for providing an endless set of flashcards targeting a variety of skills.
The flashcards are not what make this site so great. It's the ease of use, layout, and intuitiveness of this site that is impressive! I navigated the site easily and came up with my own flashcard "set" in minutes...and I'm a technology amateur! You can then 'scatter' the terms/definitions from the flashcards and make them disappear (fun on the Smartboard). 'Space race' is a good way to elicit a ton of responses--kids are very motivated to get as many as they can! Try it!
This is an example of my 'favorite sets' found on my Dashboard. Since yesterday, I've bookmarked over 10 appropriate sites.
This is an example of flashcard sets that 'pop up' when I searched "4th grade math" up in the search box. Google searches will provide a lot of flashcard sets as well (google "quizlet" and any area you are interested in like subject verb agreement).
I love technology and am grateful when I stumble on sites that elicit targeted skills and interaction. The sites I use with kids require constant discussion and interaction! Talking before clicking!!
